Irfan Alam, invited by US President Barack Obama to attend the Presidential Summit in Washington in April, will gift the American leader Bihar's famous delicacy 'litti' and 'chokha'.

Alam, who heads the SammaaN Foundation, which works for social and economic emancipation of rickshaw pullers across the country, told this to US envoy Timothy J Roemer when he visited the organisation along with his wife Sally on Friday.

"I will be carrying with me a container full of littis which I will offer to the U S President when I meet him during the summit," Alam, a graduate of the prestigious IIM, Ahmedabad, told PTI over phone from Begusarai.

He is confident that his gift will pass the stringent security test as "I have made my desire very clear to the US envoy when he asked me what I would like to gift the US President.
