The Telugu Desam Party's president, Mr Chandrababu Naidu has called for Yellow festival on 29th this month on the occasion of the formation of the Telugu Desam Party around 28 years back.

He called upon the people in villages of Andhra Pradesh to smear themselves with yellow color and also wear yellow clothes on that particular day.

The Telugu Desam party was founded by NT Rama Rao on March 29, 1982.

Political analysts say that CBN is trying to infuse confidence in the TDP cadre ahead of the local body elections in Andhra Pradesh.

Since the past few months there have been some moves by few TDP leaders to make Balakrishna the TDP's president. But many leaders like Kodela, Ummareddy, Nagam etc openly opposed this move.
